This article tries to collect various channeled messages concerning our most popular aliens, who are often called the 'Grays' or 'Zeta Reticuli'. Lately I encountered them in various shops: on rucksacks, jugs, pens, you name it. I haven't really seen them myself, but according to numerous abduction-stories, it seems worth paying attention to them. Although the rumour goes that many Grays don't seem to be friendly, not all of them are fond of abducting humans. Some claim that even the abductions were done with the subconscious approval of the abductees.
The article is divided into a number of paragraphs, dealing with respectively:
Zeta Reticulis have large black eyes and grayish hairless bodies. They are three-four feet tall ET's. (introduction to (1))
The short greys are overseen within their own ranks by the taller seven to eight foot tall greys. These greys are the ones that actually carry out "diplomatic" missions, such as secretly negotiating treaties with heads of human governments. As mentioned the greys in general, and the small three to five foot greys in particular, have been likened to mercenaries. (5)
The Zeta do not have physical bodies like humans but they do have humanoid form. Their hands have three fingers, their nervous system is clearly visible through the skin. They have no hair or protruding features, such as nose or ears, and no reproductive system as you know it. They are very slender beings and have large almond shaped eyes that evolved in conditions of limited sunlight. (6)
The primary goal of sharing the history of the Zeta Reticuli with you is so it can allow you to see some parallels between their civilization in the past and yours in the present. There is quite a bit of similarity.
Though the evolution of their race does not really occur linearly, we will place this story in a linear format. We begin "back" hundreds of thousands of years ago in the Lyran system. The roots ofthe humanoid race in your area of the galaxy emerged from the Lyran system. The Zeta Reticuli are no exception.
Let us begin in the Lyran system back when civilization was flourishing and new cultures were exploding throughout the cosmos. The range of cultures these early humanoids created was vast. There was one planet we have called the Apex planet that we will refer to as the ancient origin of the Zeta Reticuli race.
This Apex planet was very similar to Earth. The beings on Apex were a mixture genetically just like you are, because the early Lyran races had already begun to colonize. Apex became a melting pot for the genetics of the Lyran races. Therefore their society manifested a great deal of individuality and unpredictability. These qualities were even more pronounced than upon present-day Earth. (1)
In §4 you can read more about their life under the surface of the planet Apex. Many of the 'Grays' chose to go underground because of the toxicity they created on the surface. While being underground the planet is supposed to have swapped its position in the space-time continuum to the Reticulum stargroup.
While this was occurring under the surface of the planet, profound changes were occurring on the surface. The Apexians did not realize that the planet's toxicity had set a chain reaction in motion. Severe radiation had begun breaking down the planetary energy field on a subatomic level. This created an electromagnetic warp in the time/space fabric surrounding the Apex planet. While they were underground, Apex actually shifted its position in the time/space continuum because of this dramatic subatomic energy breakdown.
Time and space is very much like swiss cheese. A planet in one location is connected through a series of multidimensional networks or passageways to other areas of your galaxy. When this warp began around their planet, the planet was moved through the fabric of time/space to another time/space continuum - which was a significant distance from their point of origin. You have labeled this area the Reticulum star group. The Apex planet was inserted in the Reticulum system around one of the faintest stars in that star group. This occurred simply because the planetary shift followed the fabric of time and space. The underground Apexians were totally unaware of this as they continued with their lives under the surface. They continued saving their species. (1)
Their culture flourished for many thousands of years. However, beneath the surface of the mass consciousness there was a great deal of disharmony because the spiritual growth of the planet did not parallel the technological growth of its inhabitants. The gap began to widen. On the surface of the planet cataclysm began -severe toxicity and severe radiation from atomic blasts even more destructive than on your planet today. There was much pollution. The atmosphere began to deteriorate and plant life was shortly thereafter unable to produce enough oxygen to continue the cycle of carbon dioxide/oxygen which kept the ecosystem balanced.
There were those within the system who were aware of what was happening. They began taking measures to preserve life.
They built underground shelters and prepared themselves for the total destruction of the planet's surface. They didn't know whether this was going to occur, but they wanted to be safe. They knew they had a safety margin and that if they were prepared, their race would survive. They began learning to use alternate energy sources that could be used underground without any dependency on sunlight or oxygen from the surface. Thus they created a world that would be totally independent from the surface ecosystem.
The Apexians did attempt to reverse some of the conditions that were occurring on the planet's surface before they took shelter underground. However, it had progressed too far. Many Apexians were dying from various diseases resulting from radiation or air pollution. They knew this was the time to move beneath the planet's surface.
Gradually, individuals wrapped up their business on the surface of the planet and began to inhabit the underground cities. This was a great shock to many. Imagine knowing that you could never look at the sly again. . .that you could never lie under the stars...that you would be trapped in a rock environment for the rest of your life. Imagine the fear and sorrow these people were experiencing. Eventually, they all were moved underground. They had to learn how to adapt. Through their cloning capabilities (which they had been working on for at least 100 of their years), they began to understand how a body could adapt to an environment such as this. They began altering their genetics so that when new babies arrived they could be part of the underground ecosystem.(1)
The 'Grays' are renowned for their abduction-practices. In various messages this act is confirmed. In a message through Norma Milanovich on the Arcturians, we can read their tendency to ignore the Free Will of humans:
Many souls are brought to the Arcturian starships during the dream state where they are worked on and helped, although the Arcturians never invade a person's free choice as the Grays are doing. The Arcturians are here to assist humans in entering the fourth and fifth dimensions of reality and in raising their vibrational frequencies. They stand as the guardians and protectors of higher consciousness in the universe. (2)
Remarkedly positive remarks on the Grays can be found in a non-channeled column by Mamamel in The Renaissance of Paranoia Oct 5, 1998: Next let's talk about the greys, or Pentalites as we know them. How about the stories of abduction and examinations? What about the group that is in physical bodies on the planet? Pentalites are indeed ET's. They take their own people (Pentalite universal souls or angels in earth bodies) up in their ships for the purpose of obtaining information on our bodies to be able to assist us later.
They are given a drug, to assist them to forget their experience, that causes hallucinations that are not pleasant to remember. The tests are not as intrusive as our medical testing. The Pentalites in ships are in light bodies, which do not operate in the same way as these dense bodies. They don't require food for example. They no longer have a planet. It was on the other side of the Pleiades, in the next universe, but was destroyed in the struggle with darkness. These souls are working, as we speak, on new technology to provide electricity etc after the earth changes. You might even know some. They are very driven, technology oriented beings in their highest form.
On page 35 in this book by Lyssa Royal and Keith Priest, Lyssa channels Harone, who claims to be a representative from the Zeta Reticuli species. In his work, he is responsible for coordinating some of the genetic research projects the Zeta Reticuli are conducting. On this page we can read the following words of Harone:
"Please understand that we are not doing anything against anyone's will or wishes. You have invited us, whether you know it consciously or not. We have always assumed your subconscious was the voice of your conscious. Now that we have been communicating with you for awhile, we have learned that you do not always know what your subconscious says.
We have looked to humans whose subconscious minds have invited us in, and we did not realize that these invitations were sometimes not recognized by the conscious mind...You will always draw to you what you want or need to experience, because you are as curious as we are." (7)
In a response to Lyssa's question: 'You have never performed an experiment without the agreement of the human being involved', Harone answers:
Correct. We cannot perceive those who do not completely agree. We literally cannot even find them physically because of the differences in vibrations. (7)
An highly interesting view is presented by Drunvalo Melchizedek, a walk-in, I believe. In an interview with Auroria Genie Joseph in 1993 he said:
At one point they switched to humans and began to abduct human beings, then to do experiments on them, primarily sexual experiments. They took hundreds of thousands of them and did experiments, and then began to take hundreds upon hundreds of thousands and zap into millions of people, literally taking them off the Earth on the 4th dimensional level and on board of their ships. They took the sperm from the males and the ovums from some of the females, they combined them to their sperm and their ovums and put them back into the females. And when the baby was 3 or 4 months old, they would take the baby out and bring it onto the ship and raise them in test tube type situation, which is the only way they can reproduce right now...Many of them, hundreds of thousands of children that are just gone were taken by them and many, many people that are just gone were taken by them. Although I have trouble believing this, a couple of times I came across this idea that the U.S. Government would have made some kind of deal with the Grays, and that's why I think I need to devote a paragraph to it. Think of it whatever you like!
The Arcturians could help in an even greater and more open capacity than they are now, but the people who govern the United States and the world are so materialistically and egoistically oriented that they resist the help of these incredibly advanced beings. Instead, the U.S. government made a deal with the Grays who are very selfish beings interested only in taking over the world for their own greedy purposes. (2)

While evidence indicates that many of the greys have been on earth for centuries manipulating human societies, the Zetas are believed to have arrived on the earth in the past 40 years, having made treaties with the secret government of the United States and probably other Earth governments. (5)
In June 2000 I received this message through mail with a message from St. Germain through Jeannie Weyrick. It sheds some different light on this issue:
It is time to go beyond fear based belief in evil forces and negative entities, being vulnerable to outside beings, whether you perceive them as disincarnate entities or aliens; and the Higher Self being anything but whole and untouchable in the Light. It is time to go beyond the fascination with the trauma and drama of beliefs in devastating Earth Changes, governmental conspiracies, and alien abductions. These things are illusions and misunderstood experiences, reinforced by people believing them, repeating them, and trying to convince other people that they are real. As good intentioned as people are who teach these things, they are holding the Earth back from moving fully out of fear and illusion and into the Light of greater understanding. (9)

The Pleiadeans often mention that members of the Family of Light are everywhere as they try to create change, in order to raise consciousness and the amount of love. In this channeled message, it is said that also among the Grays Family of Light is active:
Let us say this to you. As you are representatives of the Family of Light within the human population -- within the human drama -- there are versions of the Family of Light within the reptilian drama. All things must evolve! Remember the Prime Creator -- the original decree? 'Go out and create and bring them back to me. Prime Creator is within all things. And so as you choose to evolve in terms of this human drama, and evolve as human.
There are versions of yourselves that are in the reptilian drama. Busting the system open from that end. Within the drama of the greys, within all of the dramas of all of the humans, of all of the players of this time. Because everyone must go through frequency change. Because the old frequency is not going to last. It is already not here. That is why everything is beginning to crumble and fall apart on your planet. That is why there is no stability, because a new order will arise after a period of time. (3)
Our Light craft will grace your skies more often in a visible, holgraphic form. Many of you have alreay noticed an increase in 'sightings'. What we would ask of you, our Lightworkers, is that you would begin to prepare others in advance of our gradual visibility. There will be many ones who will confuse us with negative ET encounters. Indeed, the greys will take advantage of the opportunity to confuse the populace and attempt to tarnish our image. Ones must be made aware of the distinction between the ships of Light and the ships of abduction. (4)
Never forget that there are different factions of the Zeta beings. Some of them are very altruistic. There are others who are here purely for their own reasons and those reasons can be either positive or negative or any shade in between. As an overall idea, they want certain things from you they feel they lack. You see, they think they have made some mistakes in what they have eliminated through cloning. They are now trying to watch you and learn how they can successfully integrate these things within themselves.
In a sense we can say that you are their past as well as their future. It is as if at every corner they turn, they face you. You represent their past; you also represent their only hope for a future. (1)
Not directly channeled:
Most of the greys themselves are servants, or mercenaries, or the reptilian race. The greys, or most of them, make up what is known as the Orion Empire. The lizzies are members of what they call the Federation of the Draconian Reptoids. The Orion Empire and the Federation of Draconian Reptoids work together and with other egressive ETs to try to dominate and control several planets in this universe, including Earth. (5)
Esoteric sources and mystical traditions here on earth suggest that humans develop a society based on love and compassion for each other and all of Creation in order for us to reach our fullest spiritual potential. The love and compassion should include the greys, who, as we have seen, are a rather pathetic, dying species, having genetically engineered emotions out of their physical entities. This does not mean we have to tolerate their diabolical behavior. Nor does it mean that we are responsible for saving them from their sad physical and spiritual state. On a higher spiritual level, these regressive ETs may be here, in fact, to HASTEN our own evolution toward the light and away form the darkness that these aliens and our secret government represent! Drunvalo Melchizedek says in an interview with Auroria Genie Joseph, that the reasons for the grays to be here are the following:
What are they interested in? We, as an entire dimensional level, not just the galaxy or the solar system, but the entire spectrum of life in the third dimension, are about to make a translation into higher levels, and we'll go through something that you might call the great void. And they are not capable of doing that, because in order to do that you must have a living Merkabah field. In other words, you're going to go through the great void of all great voids and no Grey can go through, including their spaceships. In order to go through you must have a spirit connected with God, with love, and they don't know how to do that anymore. So they have come here to see if they can make a connection with us and create a third race, and maybe through that third race, a certain aspect of them will be able to make it. ... They have created an entirely new race. And their intention was originally to eliminate all the humans on the Earth and to replace them with this new race, though it is highly unlikely that this will take place. At this point in fact there is zero chance, though they will attempt to. (8)

It seems that the Grays don't have sex the way we do: it is more likely that they reproduce by cloning. Read more about it up here:
The greys, as a group, would seem to be rather weak genetically. Most of them are reported to have no genitals, and are unable to sexually reproduce. Reproduction among the greys takes place mostly in the laboratory through a cloning process. Remember our Own earth scientists can "manufacture" a simple organism such as a frog, through cloning. It is therefore easy to imagine an older species being able to clone much more complex beings, such as themselves.
However, they have become a genetically weak species over the course of their history because of nuclear wars in their past, genetic engineering done of their species in the past, through the deleterious effects of thousands and millions of years of cloning, and other reasons of which we or they may not even be aware.
