INTRODUCTION
In the page on 'extreme neutrality' I write about the relativity of realities; I describe a dream in which it seemed that it really didn't matter what you do, since it is has al been done before. Whether you bomb a city or type out a letter, it seemed to be of the same importance. This page deals with the possibility of twisting reality in order to be able to tune into various other realities.

THE GREAT ASTRAL LIAR
A while ago I was in a dream in which it seemed that I was looking at the way my astral body is functioning, while doing his thing in the astral planes. It was all quite interesting until it encountered something that caused it to stop. There seemed to be some block or wall that kept my astral awareness from moving on.

But, it had obviously been in such a situation before and he simply used a tool: become a liar and then the reality adjusts: the walls disappeared and he was free to move on. At first I was impressed, but then I realized that he was lying his way forward and I stopped the dream as a result. This is corrupt and wrong. I don't want to work like that, my ethical self decided and I woke up confirming in my mind the idea that these astral planes were indeed very corrupt.

FROM LIAR TO PRETENDER
I walked around with this conclusion for a number of weeks until another thought entered my system while taking a shower. Could it be that this 'tool' could be called differently, namely the 'tool of pretending', which just sounds a lot more friendly.

Is it ethically acceptable to 'pretend to believe' in a certain reality? When you know that you really do not accept the characteristics of a certain reality, can you pretend to accept these characteristics because it allows you to see this different reality? Once you see a certain reality which you 'pretend' to believe in, you are able to exist in such a reality, meeting people who think alike and you can learn from it.

One of the driving forces for the scrutiny of these astral planes is that it might be possible to 'collect' those who are stuck in certain Monroe Bands, in order to make them remember that they are probably part of a soul group. I have spoken of 'tuning into astral realities', and perhaps we can develop this skill of pretending to accept a reality in order to tune into other (astral) realities?

Perhaps now I better understand the sense of surprise in the face of my astral partner when I abruptly ended the dream after I interpreted his actions as corrupt and deceitful. Perhaps he was just showing me a tool which I could use to tune into astral realities and this tool was not really about lying, but more about pretending. I think it is ethically alright to pretend to believe in a certain reality as long as you just respect that reality and don't use your 'tuning skills' to use or exploit others for your own gain.
