The role of the Guru is an ancient pattern upon the Earth plane. The Guru or Spiritual Teacher curses all followers and takes away their spiritual information. The followers lose the unique truth and soul purpose inherent in their spiritual knowledge and also lose their power to evolve. This pattern has been played out for centuries. Now is the time for all initiates to become their own guru, become their own spiritual teacher, take back their power and information, follow their own inner guidance, and stand in their own truth.
Upon the Earth plane, our channels discovered that the pattern of the curse is played out in all organizations, whether they be small or large, or even spiritual in nature. Each group, corporation or organization contains certain individuals who hold the power for the entire group. The most powerful corporations or organizations which earn the most money and have the largest followings have employed the most gifted and powerful individuals at collective or group cursing. Any employee who works for any corporation or any initiates who belong to a spiritual group contributes their power and information to the whole of the organization or group and have been cursed by the organization or group.

It may surprise you to understand that any great 'leader,' whether they be an author, director of a corporation, president of a country, or a spiritual guru, has made agreements with the Kumara of Greed to manifest their fame and fortune. A year later, on a page on the pitfalls during the process of ascension we can read about the Kumara of Death and the arrogance of 'knowing it all'
The Arrogance of Knowing It All is related to the Kumara of Death. The fear of death causes initiates to seek knowledge to transcend death, i.e., seek spiritual knowledge in order to evolve or ascend, or stated in another term, seek out TRUTH. Inherent in the pattern of spiritual seeking is the search for a teacher or guru.
The Guru believes that he/she knows more than his/her disciples do. In so doing, the Guru can fall into the trap of thinking they know everything and cease to evolve. Likewise, the disciple, in thinking the Guru knows more, subordinates himself or herself to the Guru's truth and also ceases to evolve. The pattern of the guru leads to death for both the guru and the disciple. Truth comes from within. Truth is unique to every initiate. Only the initiate will know what their unique truth is.
Ascension brings forth the understanding that one's truth comes from within. As initiates learn to live their lives from their own knowing, without interference from others, the wishes of soul along with God/Goddess/All That Is become made manifest on Earth. Initiates will then learn to stop seeking the teacher and become the master by mastering their own expression of truth on the Earth plane.

The vibration of compassion dissolves the Kumara of Death. As each initiate transcends their agreements with the Kumara of Death, the arrogance of knowing it all is also transcended. In a state of compassion, one ceases to believe they know everything, or conversely, know nothing. Compassion is a state of allowance of all creations on all planes of reality. Such a state is attained when an initiate understands that it is the soul that creates life through form. The soul will always know more than the form. In understanding the soul will always know more than the form, the form looks to the soul for guidance and spiritual knowledge and ceases to look outside of itself or towards a guru to ascend.

In December 1999 in an article on group initiations in ascension we can read about the need to transcend codependence:
Group codependence is related to the need to either carry others who appear to be too weak to carry themselves or to place others upon a pedestal and worship them as God/Goddess. In the old paradigm of the guru, the guru is worshipped as God. In exchange, it is expected that the Guru will carry each of his disciples to enlightenment, because they are too weak to gain mastery of their own accord. This leaves neither the Guru nor the disciples capable of ascending.
In ascension, no one can ascend another. Each human must take full responsibility for transcending their own patterns and releasing their own karma. If a human being does not release their own karma, they miss the very lessons surrounding compassion and unconditional love that are required to sustain a state of harmlessness. It is for this reason that it is useless to assist another in ascending by burning off their karma for them. For if they attain the vibration of the Bodhisattva but then engage in a harmful act, they will simply be rolled back in initiation and have to pass their tests yet again. If all of the karma has been removed by another who has processed it for them, the very keys to maintaining a state of harmlessness may now be missing, and thus this individual may never embody harmlessness of their own accord.
Burning karma for another is often done in the early initiations between initiates and those whom they are close to (spouse, child, or friend). At some juncture, the continued burning of the karma of another will impede one's ability to move forth in one's own ascension, and such patterns are released a little at a time.
In group ascension, it is natural in the beginning to collect others who expect to be carried rather than ascend themselves. Such individuals will leave the organization as the group chooses not to burn karma for another, thus requiring every individual to take full responsibility for their own process.
As an initiate masters Group Initiation 6, they take full responsibility for their own ascension and processing any and all karma necessary to understand the lessons inherent in ascension. Additionally, they allow all others to take full responsibility for their own ascension as well. In so doing, codependence is transcended in the group at large as well as on an individual basis. What this means on an individual level is that those who have mastered Group Initiation 6 will also cease to care take others whom they associate with in a codependent manner.
There were many who left SSOA who did so at the moment that SSOA chose not to burn their karma for them. Many went on to join another group that would continue to process their patterns and karma for them. We would also like to point out that many initiates in SSOA had agreements to process the karma of the Earth Mother. In a small number of cases, the karmic load was overloading the form to such a degree that the form was decaying faster than it could ascend. Such agreements in SSOA now also extend to the Earth Mother. It is not the responsibility of SSOA or any member to process the Earth Mother's karma. She, too, like any other initiate, must do this for herself and learn all of the lessons inherent in the global ascension process.

In an article from June 2000 the guru-idea is again mentioned:
It is human nature to follow the truth of another. It is for this reason that finding a guru or teacher in order to be on the spiritual path is often deemed necessary. Sometimes humans take it so far as to believe that they must go to the East, such as India or Tibet, to find the truth from a teacher of greater wisdom and knowledge that that which exists within the West.
Indeed, the East and West have been split and disunited, one assuming great power surrounding spiritual wisdom, and the other assuming great power surrounding material or creative wisdom. Such a split will be healed in due course in the process of global ascension allowing for all continents to contain all wisdom, both of spiritual and material in nature. Our channels Mila and Oa are a reflection of this shift as they are from the West but bringing forth spiritual knowledge and understanding of great import to the evolution of mankind.
The search for a teacher exterior to oneself was not always so within the human experience. Long ago, humans had strong telepathic and clairvoyant gifts, which were a part of the original genetic material of the human species as it was seeded upon Earth by the Sirian race. With such gifts and talents, each human could hear and see their own nonphysical guidance, which emanated from their source and soul or I AM Presence. With such knowledge flowing from within, there was no need to look outside of oneself for a teacher or for wisdom. Their own Soul and Source freely gave everything that one asked for when one was ready for it within their evolutionary process.

September 2000. Blind trust and the guru-disciple relationship:
Blind trust is emulated in the guru-disciple relationship. In such a relationship, the disciple blindly trusts the guru to lead him or her home. The disciple expects the guru to "do it for them", and the guru codependently takes care of the disciple. In exchange, the guru confiscates all of the disciple's spiritual knowledge, which in fact causes the disciple to lose their "truth". Neither the disciple or guru can ascend as a result, for ascension requires both to find their own sovereign truth and alter the biology of the form accordingly.
In ascension, trusting anything or anyone outside of oneself can pull one off track with the journey that their form and soul have devised. It is therefore advisable for all ascending masters to learn to tune into their own truth and follow it implicitly, trusting no one and cross checking all messages from guidance so that one may remain true to their journey home. The pitfalls and detours upon the spiritual path are many, and it is often through blindly trusting another that one becomes mislead and then misses their opportunity to ascend.
Mila and Rama have created an organization in which no one ascends another, each must pull their own weight, and each embraces and embodies their sovereign truth. The journey to create such an organization has been documented in our "Notes to our Affiliates" section. The journey has not been easy, for it is such a deep genetic pattern to relate codependently to one another within the human dance. All in all, there have been more individuals cast out of their organization than those that remain who were unable to transcend codependence in all of its multifaceted expressions. This does not mean that such individuals will not accomplish such a task in due course, but they were unable to do so in the timeframe necessary for SSOA to ascend.
... In the guru-disciple relationship, the disciple accepts the guru's truth as valid and as their own truth. The guru takes the disciple's truth away as all spiritual knowledge is confiscated. In so doing, the guru's truth becomes tainted with the truth of many others and neither the guru nor the disciple therefore knows what their truth is.
As the disciple chooses to break away from the guru, whether that guru be a spiritual teacher, healer, spouse, employer, parent, doctor, financial expert, or politician, and chooses to take back their truth and knowledge that is a part of one's own biological inheritance, one will transcend the illusion of truth in their own ascension. As the guru chooses to release its disciples in full, and become sovereign in their own truth and allow all others the same, the guru shall likewise transcend the illusion of truth in their own ascension. And Mila and Rama are indeed living examples of this. In so doing, one shall stand tall in the truth of the ascending master that they are.

THE SEDUCTION OF KNOWLEDGE
Related to the 7th Ray and the 7th Chakra and the Violet Ray
The seduction of knowledge causes the seducer to program the seduced with a fantasy that they hold more knowledge than the seduced. In so doing, the seduced may relinquish their power to know their truth along with all information to the seducer. Sometimes the seducer also gives their knowledge to the seduced causing their truth to override the truth of another.
There are many types of seducers of knowledge. Often your most famous scientists, professors, spiritual teachers, mathematicians, doctors or physicists are seducers of knowledge. The seducer of knowledge collects knowledge from others and then applies it to their preoccupations or writing. For so very long, knowledge has been limited so upon Earth due to the many falls in genetic material that only those gifted at taking knowledge from others could piece enough information together to understand much of anything. And so your recent history and struggle to understand even the basics of biology, physics or math has taken thousands of years to reconstruct. This is the result of a major nuclear catastrophe which destroyed most everything upon the surface of the Earth in the last fall of Atlantis and caused the genetic material to become so paired down there was little information in the form for soul to work with. Soul also fractured greatly losing the whole of the knowledge that soul once contained.
With ascension, information is retrieved as one pieces their fractured soul back together reconstructing the knowledge that such a soul or souls once knew. The genetic alterations also bring forth a newfound biological remembrance of unity consciousness. And so as one ascends, one ceases to need to gather information outside of oneself, and as one can commune with soul and become a fluid channel, soul will give any initiate all knowledge necessary for them to succeed at their soul goal and purpose.
As an initiate, one may need to become conscious of other seducers of knowledge that one may come into contact with either in person or through their written materials. Generally, the seducer of knowledge will access the crown chakra and remove one's akashic records for their own use and gain. Often this leads to the experience of a headache following engaging with such individuals. So we invite initiates to pay attention to how they feel after such a transaction. If one has lost records, intend to retrieve them.
If one finds that they are a 7th path seducer, one will need to return those records that truly belong to others. Truth is based upon resonance. The truth of another shall never be one's own truth. In the taking of knowledge of others, the 7th path seducer scrambles or pollutes his or her own truth with the truth of many others making it difficult for such an individual to know whom they truly are as a spiritual aspirant. As one chooses only to anchor their own truth, and anchor soul that resonates with that truth, then soul may dance with the form and share its sovereign truth with oneself along with others. And this is the new paradigm of the teacher or guru, one whom has embraced their own truth in full and simply seeks to share it, and allow all others their own unique truth simultaneously.

In the last week of 2000 we can read something about guruship according to the buffalo species:
For those whom are ascending, and committing to their journey, we wish you to understand the nature of spirit. Mankind is focused upon things that spirit has no interest in. Spirit only has interest in evolution. Spirit has interest in releasing patterns, transmuting the past, and embracing a new thought-form of unity. Preoccupations such as financial gain, technological development, property ownership, and narcissistic forms of pleasure and consumerism that harm Earth's surface with toxic waste production holds no interest for spirit.
Spirit does not perceive that one requires a fortune to ascend. Spirit does not require one to purchase a home someplace "quiet" or "in a spiritual community" in order to ascend. Spirit does not require one to go to India and find a Guru to study with in order to ascend. Instead, spirit asks that each human focus inward and choose to evolve, choose to transcend and ascend. And spirit asks that each listen within and follow their internal guidance and leading implicitly.

In February 2001 we can read about ways to discern what kind of guru or teacher it is that you might be working with:
So often, we see our human brother and sisters seeking teachers or gurus to find their way "home". We state that no guru, no teacher, can possibly open one to one's own soul. Opening to one's own soul requires inner work, inner processing, and inner releasing of the pain that caused one to armor one's heart from childhood. Most humans shut their heart at a very early age. Often by age 2, most human children seal their heart and never open it again for the entire lifetime! Although this is sad, one can go back in time to the moment when they chose to seal their heart shut because life was just too painful, and begin the process of opening the heart in full. Although this is not an easy process, as enough of the heart peels open, contact with the God Goddess within can and shall occur.
In so doing, one shall begin to hear the messages of their own soul. As the messages of one's own soul pours forth, one shall become their own teacher, their own guru, and this shall allow one to find their way through the labyrinth of spiritual evolution. No one can do this for another, and no one better knows where one needs to be or what one's path is other than oneself. As one attunes to the messages of their own soul, one shall be guided from within. As one learns to follow one's own internal guidance implicitly, one shall find their way "home".
Sometimes such guidance comes through one's nighttime dreams, sometimes through the telepathic communications of one's thoughts. Sometimes such communications can be ascertained by body level knowing or a "gut level feeling" that this or that is one's truth. One method to access body level knowing is known as applied kinesiology or "muscle testing". (See "Following One's Truth" under 'Messages of the Earth Mother" upon our web site for more information on how to muscle test).
There is a huge seduction amongst teachers and healers of all kinds. The seduction is that you "need them" to find your way home. In reality, you need no one other than your own connection to your own source or the God Goddess within. Following another will take you off course, beloved. Following another is the method of the antichrist to assure that one does not ascend, does not find their way home, because each path is so unique, so distinct, that if you follow in the footsteps of another you shall get lost within your own journey!
There are many in your movements today that are not of the light. Each of such humans can be easily uncovered for what they really are with a few simple tests, and Buffalo would like to divulge these tests to our human brother and sisters. Give this test to each teacher or guru that you have admired and chosen to study with or take workshops from, and see if indeed they pass, beloved. For such beings that are antichrist in nature vampire their audiences. They take records, they take information, they hoard for themselves all that one knows to be true. Why do they do this? Because they are antichrist, and an antichrist has no truth, only the truth that it has confiscated from others.
1.Does your teacher or guru perceive themselves as having the "only truth" about this or that subject? There is not only one truth, only a mosaic of truths that each contributes a piece to and comprises the whole. No one human holds the whole truth, for each human is but a part of the whole!
2.Does your teacher or guru "control" their following? If one is clairvoyant, the control can be seen as an octopus of energy coming from the teacher or guru's crown chakra to each student's crown chakra. It is this connection that causes each student to subordinate their truth to the teacher or guru, and it is how the teacher or guru controls the following.
3.Does your teacher or guru believe themselves "special" or "superior" and others "inferior"? All humans have issues. All humans have patterns that are non-loving, non-supportive, non-giving. Is your guru or teacher willing to admit to their own "humanness?" Are they willing to admit that they are evolving, as you are evolving, and that each is learning along the way? The teacher and student are one beloved, and both learn from each other in the dance of evolution. One is not superior to another, both are vital and can support one's dance home if both choose to evolve together.
4.Does your teacher or guru believe themselves to have "mastered?" No human has mastered anything in 40,000 Earth years (120,000 humans years)! Humanity has declined and declined in vibration with no ascensions that were complete coming forth in well over 40,000 years. How could your guru or teacher have mastered when no human has done so in so long that the path of mastery has ceased to exist? At best, the teacher or guru is mastering their own path of mastery, but this does not equate to having "mastered".
5.Does your teacher or guru expect you to worship them, place pictures of them upon your alter, or deem them "God or Goddess" in human form? Beloved, all humans are God Goddess in form. No human is better than any other human. The trade off of worshipping another is that one loses their way, loses their information to the teacher or guru, and then fails to go home. Is this what you want?
6.Does your teacher or guru gather others by the hundreds or thousands for events? Ah, this is a tough one because one wishes to be part of a new spiritual community, a new family.
If so, what are they doing? Are they vampiring the audience for their own gain? Are they taking your chi along with everyone else's? Are they taking your records along with everyone else's? Without your records, you cannot ascend nor find your way home, beloved. Such gatherings do no good other than retaining the control that the teacher or guru has always held over their following, and strips all others of their truth.
There are hard points to make, perhaps, from the perspective of our audience. Buffalo has agreed to assist his human brothers and sisters in awakening. Therefore, we ask you to wake up! You are God Goddess in human form. You have always been God Goddess in human form. We guide you to quit giving your power away to authorities of all kinds, whether such authorities be metaphysical, spiritual, medical, governmental, or educational. You are your living truth, your living hologram, as a member of the human species. Your own ascension and future therefore lies within your own hands. Only you can choose to awaken yourself and find your way home!
Buffalo is here as a guide, as a support as a brother and sister to the human species. We take not of your records. We take not of your chi. We choose to support your choice to ascend by providing a bridge into communion with nature. This is what we have agreed to and will fulfill upon with the human species.
Likewise, our channel seeks not to take of your records nor your chi, but asks that you awaken and ascend. She asks you to gather at her events only if you are guided from within and by your own truth at critical moments in Earth's ascension to release human karma so that Earth may continue to evolve. And beyond this she wants nothing from anyone other than each find their own truth and live it, breathe it, become it, and find their own way "home".
We invite you to intend to ascend. We invite you to commit to becoming your own teacher, to becoming your own guru. We invite you to live your life from the heart, and from your own knowing! As the heart opens, life becomes a joyous expression of communion, oneness, unity and joy. In the experience of the communion, one will follow their heart through the labyrinth of difficult moments of transcendence back to the joy, love and communion again and again.
One day, not too long into the distant future, each whom is willing to transcend shall enter the gates of heaven. And we buffalo shall be standing at your side at such a moment, ushering you into the new community of unity between all species. Until such a time, we will support you in all ways that we can.
