In a message (18909) with one of the members of the casschat-group I was asked to clarify what I was trying to convey in section I from the comparison with wave chapter two.
I start off with this fragment from the post from Dominique (Nov 29, 2004) and then a clarification is given.
In the above analysis of chapter 2 of The Wave you write the following
under subheading 'I' (I picked this paragraph because it caught my
attention the most):
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
If Earth would decide to become STO I think her ascension process will
collapse quickly because it seems that it's quite a jungle out there.
I mean, there seem to be many beings who would love to gain the
ascension knowledge, to drain the beings of Earth of chi and of course
there still are many beings who would like to gain dominion over
Earth. So being STS can be quite a clever mode of being when you are
trying to ascend. The more you serve self, the more you would start to
realize that harming others means harming yourself and as a result you
would lose the progress you have made in your ascension process.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
The first sentence is confusing to me, because you have stated that
the earth is ascending, but now you are saying that the ascension will
collapse quickly. Or is this only when the earth chooses STO?
It doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me.
Then there are the last two sentences where you talk about being STS
coupled with ascension. The implication of your statement is that it
isn't always a clever mode. When not? I sincerely don't understand.
Within the theory Earth would be ascending indeed. If Earth would choose to become 'STO', meaning 'Serving to Others' than that would imply that she would give much of her energy, her attention and knowledge away to others. Since ascension seems to imply the gradual growth of vibration, you need more and more energy/chi to uphold it. This you could regard as a self-serving approach. As far as I understand your distinction STO-STS (serving to others - serving to self), it seems to imply that STS has a quite negative connotation and STO has got something beautiful and wise about it.
What I was trying to say is that by being STS, in the sense that you devote your energy and time to your ascension process and are very careful in giving energy away to others, you are likely to reach a point where you don't want to be harmful towards others anymore. This would be a natural step in the process. In other words: by being STS (in the positive sense of the word) you can become less destructive towards others (this damage is said to be caused without people being aware of it most of the time). This is a development that serves others. This principle would hold not only for humans but for Earth as well.
STS in this sense is different from the STS meaning that you use, manipulate or harm others to enrich yourself. That is not the kind of STS I'm talking about here.
The distinction between STO and STS has got more setbacks I think. Although I have only read three wave chapters (and a few 'ascension-articles') I can't help but notice that the concept of 'STO and STS' forces my mind to think in a way that is not compatible with the normal meaning of the word 'serving' and it doesn't match what I see around me either. I think that if this STO-STS-thinking really is something 'universal' than it must be applicable to human beings as well.
Perhaps the following summary of pros and cons of the STO-STS-concept will explain what I'm referring to:
- First, the pros:
- It is a simple polar view: beings are either STO or STS. That's it.
- The C's use this concept on a regular basis. So, it must be a useful concept.
- Now, for some cons, in my opinion:
- There seems to be no room for a continuum between fully 'STO' and fully 'STS'
- The connotations of the words: STO tends to be 'good' and 'positive' and STS tends to be 'wrong' and 'negative': see next point
- The terms 'STO' and 'STS' seem to create categories that don't match the regular sense of the words. Take a look at the following examples and see how you would categorize the people in it (both on the STO-STS and the 'right-wrong'-scale):
- A Buddhist sitting on a mountain top, minding his own matters.
- A woman who likes shopping, allows herself to go out shopping on Fridays, but on Tuesdays she looks after her mother who developed severe cancer.
- A rapist who, the day after he had raped a woman, cooks a dinner for his wife and children, even though he doesn't like cooking at all.
- A millionaire giving away all his money.
I would propose the introduction of other terminology that is less vague and more useful. I'm talking about a continuum from NHTO (Not Harmful To Others) to HTO (Harmful To Others). This would still uphold the C's distinction between the two kinds of 4D-beings (STO and STS, would turn into respectively NHTO and HTO). 'Fourth Density-candidates' could then focus on becoming less HTO and more NHTO which is - in my opinion - a clearer path than 'becoming more STO', or 'becoming less STS'. The central question would shift from 'Am I (or are those beings) serving myself (themselves), which is 'wrong' or others ('which would be 'right')?' to 'Am I (or are they) harmful to others or not?'
Now there's room for 'working on yourself' (a non-harmful self serving act) thereby discovering things about yourself (for instance how you unconsciously harm other people), which can make you less harmful to others (by becoming less Harmful To Others).
You also hold space for 'wave-riders' (if you believe in this wave-concept and the possibility of beings 'riding' on it) who are STS, but who are NHTO and are therefore not to be feared. There is also room for the mean and ugly ones who have a HTO-orientation.
I think the NHTO-HTO distinction is clearer and more useful in the study of the wave (and the ascension phenomenon) than the STO-STS distinction. Vague possible sentences like 'By becoming more STS you can eventually become more STO', 'All humans are STS', 'Real growth results in becoming more STO' can be rephrased into 'By focusing on your inner processes you can become less harmful to others', 'All humans are Harmful to Others', 'Real growth results in becoming less harmful to others'.
