It was only after I started to introduce some slightly commercial activity on my site (see Ripening of Thoughts) that I suddenly remembered how it felt when some kind of electrical mode of thinking obscures my mind and my ability to let new thoughts enter my mind freely. I felt rather bad about it all for a while, but I decided to open up Monroe's book 'The Ultimate Journey (1994)' and I was struck by a passage that opened up a new perspective. Could this 'commercial' activity be of any significance to my process as a whole, and could it lead to a better understanding of the astral planes, the kumaras and the impact of thoughts on these astral realities? Before I get to that I need to introduce a few phenomena.
LOSING PEOPLE IN THE ASTRAL 'MONROE' BANDS
If you've got no idea what is meant by astral monroe bands, first take a look at the page where they are introduced, namely Monroe Bands. After ones death one would enter a certain monroe band or a certain vibratory band that matches the way you think of life. You could say that you enter a band that resonates most with the way you view reality.
Monroe, who was an avid astral traveler, describes what he experienced during his time in or above these various bands. One of the phenomena can be called 'the sudden disappearance of people in resonating bands'. Many examples are given in his 1994-book of people who died and who didn't realize that they had actually died. They were still either fighting in a war, or they were still hanging around a certain house as if they were still physical. Monroe, in his astral body, would start a conversion with these souls or astral bodies (I'm not sure what term is best), and if they are open to it, they might start to realize that they are dead.
So, Monroe proposes to take them along to a place that is more suitable for them, than hanging around a certain place on the physical planes of Earth. He takes them by the astral arm and moves up the astral monroe bands and everytime the same thing happens: at a certain place above these bands, Monroe loses the people all of a sudden. They are simply gone and he is not able to retrieve them. They probably have gone to a vibratory band that matches their perspective.
BEING GUIDED TO SOMEONE IN A CERTAIN VIBRATORY BAND
Another very interesting phenomenon that Monroe described is that he was guided during one of his astral travels to go to a certain vibratoy band. He felt the urge to enter some 'spot' in these astral planes and he saw a woman who was in some sort of repetitive script (perhaps see Unplugging Repetitive Scripts to read a bit more of this phenomenon of repetition, but then from a different perspective). That woman was falling down the rocks in order to die for some god, but somehow she didn't die, no matter how hard she tried. It was after the meeting with Monroe that she decided to leave this place and go somewhere else. She left that vibratory band together with Monroe's astral body and disappeared in some other (higher) vibratory band.
Monroe had noticed that somehow these kind of guided tours to a certain astral person sometimes appeared because there was a connection to Monroe himself. Sometimes it were persons of a former life that needed some help to get out of their status quo, and sometimes there didn't seem to be any connection. For now I tend to think that these 'astral calls' to go and head for a certain person in some monroe band is related to a connectivity that Monroe called 'the I-there', or that we may call 'higher selves': a bonding together of certain souls that are part of what you could call an oversoul or perhaps even a source (see Part of Two Groups).
TUNING IN BY ACCEPTING A CERTAIN REALITY
The last important phenomenon is that it seems that Monroe could only 'see' a certain aspect of a vibratory band if he was willing to accept that part of that band as being 'real'. In order to be able to witness a certain 'astral reality' you must be able to tune into such a reality, and a good way to do just that is by accepting it as if it were a true reality.
You can only see a certain reality if you are able to accept it as such. If you don't consider a certain reality to be real, you simply move through it, without noticing it at all: because you don't accept it as real, you don't see it. Now, that is a very interesting concept.
THE CLEANING OF ASTRAL PLANES
If you were to believe the SSoA-writings you would believe that the astral planes are already gone (see Afterlife and Heaven). They would have been dismantled by Earth for they were taking too much energy from the planet, energy that was badly needed for the Earth as a whole to ascend.
Somehow I don't think that is true. If it were that would have meant a rather abrupt ending of all the astral realities of all those people in the various monroe bands. If they would all be part of some soul-collective, or oversoul, that would have meant that all these oversouls are not able to retrieve their parts, which would lead to an impossible situation in which the oversouls would never be able to become whole again, thus moving out of these dimensions all together.
Since there are still people who are connecting with deceased persons (either on TV or in less popular circles), and the illogical aspects of this sudden removal, I tend to think that the astral planes are still alive and kicking. Perhaps Mila of the SSoA tuned into some future possibility, just as Monroe did: they both saw an Earth without any monroe bands, without any astral life. What this means for me is that there is a future possible without these astral bands.
I don't think that the astral planes are a sign of a well-functioning ascending planet. They are more a characteristic of the mess that was created because of all the distorted thoughtforms that lead to the creation of resonating fields in the astral worlds. The more distorted thoughtforms, the more more distorted the corresponding astral planes.
As I describe in Why Support Biological Ascension? the inhabitants of the astral planes that are dependent upon the continuation of the astral planes are not happy with any attempt to clean up these planes. I wouldn't be surprised if the story of the removal of the astral planes is just a trick to stop people tuning into the planes. If people think the astral planes are gone, they have the best chance of surviving. It would be like a girl pretending to be dead while her family is ruthlessly murdered around her. Only by pretending to be dead you have the best chance of staying alive.
HOW TO CONTRIBUTE TO THE CLEANING OF THE ASTRAL PLANES?
When I combine the elements that I have described above, it leads me to this possibility. If the distinguishing factor to see a certain astral reality is dependent on your willingness to accept it as real, you should be able to tune into unlimited astral realities only by pretending to accept it as real. You should be able to see any reality as long as you are able to tune into it.
If you would only be the one you are now, you have a limited ability to see certain astral realities, but if we truly are connected to either ancestors or a soul-group, it would mean that we have access to experiences of people who really accepted certain realities as real. If we are able to use those experiences, we should be able to tune into many realities in these astral planes.
Of course you could use this ability of astral tuning to have fun, but I think this ability could be used for more useful methods, namely the retrieval of soul aspects, personalities or to put in SSoA-terminology, the retrieval of certain ancestors, who still consider certain realities to be real. Only if we have a wider perspective and we are able to tell our related soul aspects about the relativity of their reality, do we have a chance of pulling them out of their reality and into a more expanded reality.
If we are successful in connecting to these soul aspects that are stuck in certain vibratory bands, we might be able to get them out of there, and if enough of us are successful these bands will lose their inhabitants, leading to the dissipation of these bands. This would mean that it is far less likely that people on Earth will tune into these vibratory bands during their life on Earth, making it less likely that people will think in such a 'relatively distorted' fashion.
SOME POSSIBLE CONSEQUENCES FOR THE ASCENSION PROCESS
instead of a abrupt removal of the astral planes, this would lead to a gradual removal of the planes by understanding the thought forms that are behind the continued existence of these planes. If nobody accepts these realities and the thoughts on which these realities are based, as real, the will simply stop existing since there is nobody to fuel them.
As I have hinted at before, I think thought form is more important than karma. If one were able to actually retrieve soul aspects from these astral planes by letting them realize how limited their reality is, the thought form that underlies their reality will be transcended. If certain thoughts don't have a corresponding astral plane, they are less likely to be produced, leading to the gradual extinction or preferably the transformation of certain distorted DNA into a more balanced DNA, or to put it differently, a shift from distorted electrical DNA to balanced magnetic DNA.
Seen from this perspective it would mean that this gradual cleaning of the astral planes is vital to the cleaning of our distorted DNA, and it is a more responsible mode of cleaning than the abrupt disposal of everything in these astral planes. Perhaps it is useful suggestion to try to intend to retrieve those soul aspects that are part of your oversoul from the various astral realities.
