Ten Years After the Tenth Insight

Rediscovering the work of James Redfield
It was only after a friend emailed me about the movie 'The Celestine Prophecy' (see The Celestine Vision) that I thought about his books. It was about ten years ago that I truly enjoyed reading his books. I decided to go to the cinema and watch the movie, and I was surprised to see the insights and how it relates to the ascension material.
After having seen the movie I decided to go to my cellar and find the other books. Because of the current focus on the astral planes I was especially interested in the 'Tenth Insight' which deals with the interaction with the astral planes. Fortunately I didn't throw that book away while I was in my 'remove-everything-that-is-not-directly-related-to-the-SSOA'-days. As you may remember I even had trouble throwing away books that would be received from Pleiadeans (see Removing Books and Rethinking Marciniak's Pleiadeans).
Well, the Tenth Insight was the first book that I saw when I entered the cellar and I immediately started reading it again. The book was published in 1996, ten years ago. It is funny to see that in 2006 I rediscover these books by Redfield in the nineties and the last two books from Robert Monroe that were written in 1985 and 1994. Perhaps there is some truth in the idea that there has been a delay of a decade (see Human Ascension Delay in the 90s) as far as the human ascension process is concerned.
Soul Groups
In the Celestine Workbook Redfield mentions the work of Robert Monroe several times, including his last book 'The Ultimate Journey' which explores the concept of soul groups. This idea of a certain soul group that is connected to a particular person is an important element in the Tenth Insight. I couldn't help but smile when I read all about the ways these soul groups would interact with us in order to help us attain the goals that we would have set for ourselves before we entered the physical planes. The smile was about the feeling that I had somehow forgotten all about these soul groups in the Tenth Insight while I have been playing with this idea for months now on this site (perhaps read: Part of Two Groups and One Life Memory Stick). Perhaps I wasn't ready for the info then.
Various Heavenly Layers
The main thing that changed during the last couple of months was the introduction of the astral theocrats (see Afterlife), which could be described as a kind of false gods that live in the astral planes and need the chi of others in order to survive. You could describe them as a kind of 'astral energy vampires' except they don't normally bite in one's neck. Read the chapter on Theocracy in the original book to gain a better understanding of their practices.
I have incorporated their presence in my current working hypothesis and have therefore become more sceptical of 'heaven' as a place where we all have a wonderful time. It seems to depend on various things, where the mode of thinking probably is the most important. In the page on Tuning Into Astral Realities and Monroe Bands I describe the possibility that the characteristics of your mode of thinking define the reality which you will be able to participate in after you die.
The Tenth Insight also talks about the repetitive scripts that I mentioned earlier (see Unplugging Repetitive Scripts) as a reality for many who die. Many would enter a place in which they keep on repeating certain behavior for they really don't believe in anything else but what they have known when they were alive. So here we have another example of what I have been working on the last couple of months, already neatly described in the Tenth Insight.
Merging Heaven with Earth
Another concept that returns in the Tenth Insight is that of Soul Groups wanting to hand over all the information of heaven to the physical people on Earth. It is said that humanity would reach another level of awareness as soon as Heaven and Earth blend.
In a way that describes what ascension is about, at least in the stage towards the fourth dimension, which is probably the astral dimension: upgrading the physical to such a degree that it is able to hold the higher vibrations of the fourth dimension. In order to achieve such a feat the biology of everything on Earth would need to adapt to a biology we are supposed to once have had before our genetics got shattered into our current '2-strands-of-DNA'.
We would be moving our way towards this fourth dimensional 'heaven' and not really the other way round. In Why Support Biological Ascension? I describe the possibility that we perhaps don't have to expect too much help from the astral planes, for they are either unaware of our presence (as those caught in the lower Monroe Bands) or they see us a threat for their astral lives (theocrats).
Fortunately there would be a group in the astral planes whose aim is to end the supremacy of the theocrats (The 'Invisible College', see Theocratic Grandmasters?), and we could persuade some Soul Groups or Higher Selves to invest in the biological ascension process.
instead of talking about merging 'Heaven with Earth', I would prefer to invest in the clearing and removal of 'heaven' which paves the way for a new 'heaven' to evolve out of physicality rising in vibration due to the ascension of our planet.
Birth Vision
This concept is important in the Tenth Insight: everybody would have a vision of what they would want to achieve during their lives before they enter it. This idea can be seen in many spiritual writings and I tend to adopt it as well in my current system. You could regard it as the desire of a soul group to either still their hunger for certain experiences, or perhaps a desire to find a way out of certain distorted thought forms or karma in order to retrieve those parts of a soul group that is caught in the same vibratory bands in the astral planes. Once you learn how to transmute certain reality perspectives you might be able to use that 'trick' to get a soul fragment back into your 'oversoul' or soul group.
As is said in the Tenth Insight, many people fail to remember their birth vision during their lives. Often they are too caught up in their daily hassles or their reality perspective. Too few people would gain access to their soul group in order to work towards the transmutation of karma or distorted thought forms.
I guess the most important reason for this big lack of remembrance can be found in our genetic package. Because of our distorted highly fractured genes we tend to tune into the associated distorted and fractured thought forms, like a TV-set tuned to a certain station. The Soul Groups might broadcast a lot of different alternative channels to tune into, but the problem might be that most of us don't have any desire to watch a different channel and even if we do we often have television sets that are hardly able to tune into other channels, because of the bad quality of the parts inside.
Improving the Succes Rate of Birth Visions
So, what can we do to improve the chances of realizing more birth visions? Assuming that every birth vision is indeed constructive for the overall evolution of our world and not a birth vision of mediocrity that is dicated by theocrats, we would probably do a good job if we were to ascend our genetics by recognizing and transmuting our distorted thoughtforms together with the intend to ascend our biology without dumping anything.
If our planet would ascend the power of less distorted thought forms might increase, thereby increasing the likelihood of tuning into these less distorted thought forms, resulting in more genetic modification. If we want to tune into less distortion, our D.N.A. would adapt and much of the information to do so would be stored within our genes or within our ancestors (perhaps of those who are trapped in certain monroe bands). The more distorted your genetic package the harder it would be to tune into less distorted thought forms.
As long as there are ancestors who broadcast the same distorted thought forms from the astral planes there is the chance that people tune into it through astral resonance (see Attracting Astral Activity). Perhaps it is useful to try this intention: "I intend my ancestors to look for their soul groups" as a means to end these distorted astral broadcasts. On top of that they might hold information that is useful for those connected to these soul groups presently living their lives on Earth.
