Today I received a mail all the way from Kenya and I'm proud to have readers in that country, people who like to explore ascension along with us. This African mail was written by Andrew. I would like to talk a little about what he said:
I also don't understand your way of transmution of thought but if you start using your mental body and leave out the emotional body, I am not sure but wouldn't that mean you are just using a sort of template to judge what's good and what's not and what's in the middle? That sounds like the catholic church and their sins and virtues and vices having no connection to the spiritual laws.On the pages called Ten Thousand Babbling Idiots and Modes of Thinking I elaborate on the difference between 'the mental body-only'-mode and the 'mental body as the final translator of all other bodies'-mode. Using your mental body doesn't necessarily mean that you don't use any other body as well. This apparently is a very deeply rooted thoughtform. For a person like me who is starting out, i need some template to work with until when i get my way of finding the truth which i would have imagined that would come using body emotions and reactions to certain situations.
You can read about my position towards Christianity if you click on the 'why use son of god concept' link above. We wouldn't want to form yet another dogmatic reality perspective. It is quite complicated to distinguish between 'mental only'-mode and 'mental-as-a-result'-mode. Perhaps a few examples can clarify things a bit further.
Take for instance the thought 'It is wrong for my spiritual growth to watch a lot of TV' (I just revived the TV-link (see Looking Back and Forward)). This is indeed a thoughtform that I agree with most of the time. It has become a part of my reality perspective. I have noticed myself that when I watch a lot of television my mind tends to grow obscure or blank. It also takes away too much time that I prefer to spend on other things, like thinking and writing about topics like this one.
The difference consists of the basis from which you do something: don't you watch TV because someone else has said that it is not good for you or don't you watch TV because you have noticed yourself that is not healthy for your process.
Perhaps the world religions dictate what is right and what is wrong without allowing the 'followers' to experience it themselves, and perhaps discover that certain elements are not that bad and others are, like the deeply ingrained belief of subservience to some kind of god.
I needed the SSOA-template because it provided a set of thought forms or perhaps template that I needed to get where I am now, and therefore it is not so bad to copy someone else's template for a while, as long as you don't forget that it is just a temporary template that can help you find your own set of reality elements, your own set of thoughts. Thoughts that are likely to shake certain genetic information out of their slumber, possibly activating the process of biological ascension.
