INTRODUCTION
I have spoken about ways to deal with information in some earlier turtles (see links above). In Turtle 40 I mentioned the possibility to delve into all kinds of media induced manipulations. I learnt from this period that it can easily lead to a drain of energy and attention towards topics like the mysterious fall of building 7 or the tale of the human induced global warming. Although I certainly hope that other people continue to fight for truth on these matters, I decided to shift my attention to my own ascension process again.
It isn't easy to navigate between all the elements that could potentially lead your process in some unfavorable direction. In Turtle 33 I talked about other habits that led me astray in the past, like the tendency to watch statistics of my site a bit too often, or the reading of a certain group of favorite web sites. I had noticed that I had stepped into a certain automatic pilot mode that could occupy me for at least an hour, reading blogs, news sites etc.
AVALANCHE OF SPIRITUAL INFORMATION
The direction I prefer to go is the one towards my own 'Inner Disney Land' as I described it in Turtle 35. The last couple of weeks I became aware of another group of 'distractors', namely all the sites that present huge amounts of 'spiritual' or 'inspirational' information. Through email I receive links to various sites that contain interesting information which is often channeled.
As you know, I have spent quite some time on these sites before I met the SSOA. After the discovery of the SSOA in 2003 I started to read every single word that was put on their site which contains hundreds, if not thousands of pages of information. This information was truly inspiring, but it also had a serious side-effect: it moulded my mind in a certain way. It was only after increasing the distance with the SSOA that I realized that I was mainly participating in their world perspective.
I believe that somewhere in all those SSOA-pages I found the idea that one of the future developments would be that - in a sense - everybody would start 'channeling' their own truth, each adding their own colors. There would be an increasing inclination to stop reading the material of others. Instead people would learn to listen to their own databases of information within.
READ SPARSELY
This is quite an interesting realisation for me. The SSoA already teaches to be careful with watching a lot of movies, listening to all kinds of lyrics and reading newspapers and books. To make the step to include 'inspirational' information like the SSOA and related sites is something new.
Donna emailed me a while ago and talked about the complexity of the Freedom Teachings on the Azurite Press site. She also talked about a sour feeling she retained from the new web site of oKa (Raising Maldek). She concluded that it might be a better idea to start her own blog.
Someone else added a recent text by Archangel Michael from Ronna Herman's site, who apparently is still alive and channeling. I also read a few messages from the South African Group who are breaching all kinds of topics, like a daily updated list of messages from people who have recently departed (see Crossed Over) including their full names. And what to think about Steve Irwin talking about disappearing bees and Kryon who says that the Indigo Children would in fact be used to limit our global rise to awareness?
Someone else emailed me about another site that would contain information directly from the Invisible College. Also Monique started her own site, only for those who are able to read Dutch, at www.ascensie.nl. Audrey, who has published on this site, launched a beautiful site herself filled with wisdom from all over the world.
CONCLUSION
I agree with Donna that some sites really are quite big and rather complex. Each using their own jargon. Although I could invest my time and energy in wading through the material and the 'keylontics' etc. I notice an increasing tendency to read less and less spiritual information. Wouldn't it be nice to consider the possibility that I have a complete internet of information within my cells? Wouldn't it be far more interesting to get the information firsthand?
The funny thing is that dealing with this avalanche of information on the internet is one of the topics in the text through Ronna Herman. I would prefer to first discover something myself, and then read the same conclusion in some text on the web, then the other way round. Perhaps that's the conclusion of this line of thinking. If you first discover something yourself it will better prepare you to tune into a certain mode of thinking then by only reading about it.
ALthough it didn't happen too often, I was glad to notice this desire to just sit somewhere and tune into myself, to open up the libraries from within. I would be thrilled if I could develop this ability to such a degree that I could read from these libraries whenever I feel like it.
